Bahman Rezaei was born on February 20, 1994, in Urmia (Mergavar, Ziveh), Iran. He is an Iranian Kurdish Short Film scriptwriter, director and graphic designer. He started as a theater actor at the age of 12 and gradually went on to make short films. Bahman made a total of 4 amateur films; and this caused him to go to filmmaking courses at the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, Urmia office and from that year on, short cinema was a more serious matter for him. At the same time as studying, Rezaei worked in the graphic design and editing office of “Cube Creative Media”. Besides, he continued various activities such as assistant director, actor, graphic designer, sound recording and editing along with the people of theater, television and short films. He also featured in plays such as Abgoshte Zahremari, Apardi Sellar Sanrai, Khaj and Siyaband, Viyan, Misery, Rain Bride, Aghlama Urmia, We’ll Get Together, The Crow’s Red Pulse, Night Letter, A Flight Passes in the Sky, Death Does Not Happen and Short films such as My Clayey Concepetion, Suffocation, The Last Wait, The Cuckoos Laughing, Next to Me, Life is lifeless, and so on. He studies M.A. in television production at IRIB University. After several years of experience in various short film and television projects, he made his first fiction short film (The Leavings) in 2020 and is currently writing his second short fiction film and will soon start Pre-production the film after graduating with a master’s degree.
